Being pregnant is both an extremely exciting time and a stressful one. Whether it's the mom-to-be's first pregnancy or third, it's common for pregnancies to bring a range of emotions with them.A high-risk pregnancy traditionally was defined as one complicated by a serious medical condition that may jeopardize its outcome. Risk factors of pregnancy do not end at delivery, often continuing into the perinatal period, when the woman may be especially vulnerable to the onset or relapse of serious psychiatric disorders.
